I have a battery but the connector that connects it to the iphone broke off i took apart the battery a few months later to fix it, just to find out htat the battery is dead.. I got to the four silver squares on the battery do you know which ones are which?

Depends on which generation of iPhone you’re talking about. For the iPhone 4, starting from the outer edge of the protection PCB, it’s PACK-, HDQ, NTC thermistor (10k), PACK+.
